Our last day of the summer term is Thursday 19th July. We wish all our families a wonderful summer and good luck to all our Year 6s.
We look forward to seeing all our other pupils back for the start of the autumn term on Tuesday 4th September.
On behalf of all the children, parents, governors and staff I would like to warmly welcome you to Park Mead Primary School.
Park Mead is situated in the beautiful village of Upper Dicker, East Sussex and its large grounds back onto farmland with views of the beautiful Sussex countryside.
We are proud to welcome you into our friendly, happy, hardworking family environment where respect for others and positive attitudes towards learning and behaviour are fostered and nurtured. We encourage children to constantly learn about learning and develop independence alongside 'working together' skills in order to fulfil our vision:
‘In harmony, together we will inspire excellence and a life-long love of learning.’
The school has wonderful facilities which include: a large field with two trim trails, two playgrounds, a Nurture and Life Skills classroom, a vegetable garden and a pond. The school also benefits from a large, well-equipped hall, spacious classrooms and group rooms. We are able to make use of Bede’s facilities which includes, amongst others, a magnificent sports hall and swimming pool.
The governing body is very supportive and works in close partnership with the school. Parents are encouraged to take part in their children’s education and are welcomed into the school. We have a strong and proactive parent association; the ‘Friends’ of Park Mead who successfully raise thousands of pounds annually to support our children’s education.
If you would like to know more about our school then please contact our school receptionist, Mrs Rushton who will be happy to answer your questions or arrange an appointment for you to meet with us and view the school.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to our gorgeous school.
Mrs Lizzie Field
